Tour Description
Shanxi province is located in the North of China. Shanxi's simple title is "Jin", after the name of the Jin state that existed during the Western Zhou and Spring and Autumn periods. The name Son Tay means "west of the mountain", referring to the province's location to the west of Tai Hanh Son. Shanxi borders Hebei to the East, Henan to the South, Shaanxi to the West and Inner Mongolia to the North. The provincial capital of Son Tay is Thai Nguyen city. Shanxi province has a long history and was the economic center of China for many dynasties. During Japanese rule, the province was severely devastated until the successful Communist Revolution gradually restored it. Up to now, the development of the coal mining and metallurgical industries has brought a new source of life to Son Tay. However, this has a significant impact on the tourism industry because the air pollution is too heavy. However, there are still a few localities worth visiting such as Binh Dao or Ngu Dai Son.
