DAY 1: HANOI – HA LONG – TUAN CHAU CRUISE
- 6:00 AM: Le Travel’s car and guide pick you up at the designated meeting point (Le Travel company) and depart for Ha Long. You will have breakfast during the journey.
- 9:00 AM: Arrive at Tuan Chau Port. The cruise staff welcomes guests at the private waiting lounge.
- 10:00 AM: The cruise sets sail, taking you to explore the most beautiful spots in Ha Long Bay, such as Heaven’s Gate, Stone Dog Island, Dinh Huong Islet, Hoa Cuong Bay, and Fighting Cock Islet. The boat will stop for 5 minutes for you to take photos and capture these stunning moments.
After that, the boat continues to move towards Sung Sot Cave.
- 11:30 AM: Enjoy a BUFFET lunch at a luxurious restaurant on the cruise, featuring signature seafood dishes of Ha Long Bay.
- 2:00 PM: The guide will take you to visit Sung Sot Cave, the most beautiful and largest cave in the Ha Long Bay cave complex.
You will have a complimentary Kayaking experience, a popular activity among the younger crowd at Luon Cave.
You will visit Titop Island. From the top of Titop Mountain, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Ha Long Bay with thousands of limestone mountains rising from the emerald waters, like a fairyland.
Enjoy a swim at Titop Beach, and towels will be provided by the staff.
Return to the boat for a small afternoon tea party with various fruits, cakes, and complimentary tea.
Admire the sunset as the boat sails back to Tuan Chau Port.
- 5:00 PM: The boat returns to Tuan Chau Port, concluding the 7-hour Ha Long Bay exploration tour.
Check in at the hotel and rest. Later, the group will have dinner at a restaurant.
DAY 2: HA LONG – MONG CAI – DONGXING
Have breakfast and then check out of the hotel.
- 6:00 AM: Depart from Ha Long for Mong Cai.
- 8:30 AM: Arrive at Mong Cai International Border Gate, where the guide assists with the exit procedures to enter Dongxing, China.
During the border crossing at Mong Cai International Border Gate, you can stop to take photos on the Bac Luan Friendship Bridge, which connects the Vietnam-China border over the Kalong River.
Here, you will also see Border Marker 1369, which demarcates the land boundary between Vietnam and China. The marker is 2.2 meters high, 50 cm wide, made of granite, and features the national emblems of both countries.
Visit the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House at the Bac Luan border guard station, commemorating President Ho Chi Minh’s 1960 visit to Dongxing, China. This memorial was built in June 2018, covering 261 square meters with a total investment of VND 6.3 billion and was inaugurated on May 19, 2019, to mark Ho Chi Minh’s 129th birthday.
After clearing customs at Dongxing, the guide will take you to visit the Vietnam-China Friendship Park, located on the right side of the Chinese border. Here, you will explore green landscapes, a revolutionary martyr memorial, and the largest Wenchang Tower at the Chinese border, standing 40 meters tall with seven stories, along with Quan De Temple.
Then, a vehicle will take you on a tour of Dongxing city, visiting Dongxing City Hall Square.
Next, you will learn about traditional Chinese medicine at the De Ren Tang Traditional Medicine Center, where you will be introduced to ancient Chinese medicine practices, receive free consultations, and have your pulse checked.
- 11:30 AM: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, tasting authentic Chinese cuisine at Son Thanh or Happiness Restaurant.
- 1:00 PM: The vehicle and guide will take you to the Van Vi fishing village, located 27 km from Dongxing city in Jiangping town.
Van Vi, along with the neighboring villages of Son Tam and Mu Dau, forms the Tam Dao, home to ethnic Vietnamese communities for the past 500 years. Kim Than Beach in Van Vi is an attractive tourist spot, featuring beautiful scenery, restaurants, hotels, and souvenir stalls along the shore.
Here, you can relax, enjoy the fresh air, and experience the gentle waves on the sandy beach, offering a perfect day for rest and enjoyment.
Afterward, the vehicle will return you to Dongxing city, with a stop at Truc Son Village, also known as Truc Son Ancient Town, located at the southwestern tip of China’s mainland coastline, just across the sea from Mong Cai. Here, you will find a solemn border guard post, the No. 0 Boundary Marker Memorial along the Guangxi border, a nearby mountain and water symbol plaza, and the Bac Luan River mangrove forest. In 2022, this picturesque fishing village at the Vietnam-China border was selected as an outstanding project in the "Beautiful Guangxi - Rural Revitalization" program.
Walking through the peaceful, winding streets of Truc Son Village, surrounded by ancient houses, traditional lanterns, and old banyan trees, while gazing at the clear blue skies and mangrove forests in the distance, will leave a lasting impression.
- 5:00 PM: Return to the city center for dinner at Son Thanh or Happiness Restaurant.
Overnight at a hotel in the city center. In the evening, you are free to explore the city on your own.
Suggested evening activities:
- Rent an electric vehicle to tour the bustling shopping streets (20 RMB/vehicle for 2 people).
- Shop along Guizhou Street or Nong Thong Street, Dongxing’s busiest areas, known for sweet treats like Yolo cakes, Yi He Kao Nai roasted milk tea, coffee, clothing, shoes, and sporting goods at Eon Sang Jin mall.
- If you enjoy karaoke or nightclubs, head to the western district. Additionally, if you want to experience a nostalgic New Year's Eve atmosphere with the sound of firecrackers and fireworks lighting up the night sky, you can buy fireworks and set them off in the spacious western district.
- Street food: Dongxing offers a variety of tasty street food, including Chinese-style grilled dishes like chicken feet, duck wings, duck feet, stinky tofu, and DO&ME fried chicken.
DAY 3: DONGXING – MONG CAI
- 7:30 AM: Have breakfast at the hotel, then check out (you can store your luggage at the hotel lobby).
- 9:00 AM: The guide takes you shopping at Tan Nhuan Phat Supermarket and the North Beitou Street, which is built in Western architectural style, where you can take memorable photos.
- 10:30 AM: The guide will lead you toward the Dongxing border, stopping to take pictures along the colorful street near the border and then visiting the Van Chung Wholesale Market. This market offers a variety of agricultural products, specialties, and handicrafts from both Vietnam and China.
Just 100 meters from the Van Chung Market is the Ho Chi Minh Shrine, marking the location of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Dongxing on February 19, 1960.
- 11:00 AM: The guide will escort you to walk to the Dongxing border and complete entry procedures back into Vietnam.
